What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser to remember information about your visit. On selected-fish.com we use one first-party technical cookie, needed to remember your choice, and, only if you accept, Google's cookies to show the map. We do not use our own advertising or tracking cookies.
Cookies used on this website
| Cookie | Owner | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sf_consent | Selected Fish (first party) | Technical | Remember your cookie choice | 12 months |
| NID | Google (third party) | Preferences and advertising, only with your consent | Show the map on the contact page and, according to Google, remember preferences and personalise ads | 6 months |
When the map loads, your browser sends your IP address to Google even if no cookie is set; that is why the map only loads with your permission.
Audience measurement
To know how many visits the site gets and which pages are viewed, we use our own counter, installed on our server. It does not use cookies or any other identifier in your browser, does not store your IP address, does not combine data with other processing, does not share data with third parties and only keeps aggregated figures (visits per page and day) for up to 24 months. That is why it does not require your consent.
How to accept, reject or change your choice
When you visit the site you can Accept, Reject or Configure cookies. If you reject them, the site works the same; only the map does not load, but the address is still written on the page. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer or with the button on this page.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge, under privacy).
